I rated this restaurant a 5 because our server Javonte was beyond excellent. He was serving a very big area by himself and we didn't have to ask for anything not even our to go containers. Before we could ask for drinks he was there. He is the epitome of what top level service should look like. Ok now we can talk about the food. I had the fried chicken and French toast...... It was so delicious. My other half enjoyed his fish and grits as well. We got there before the crowd so it was a great experience.
I will definitely visit again and you should too! -

15 minute wait to be seated, 10 minute wait for the drinks, 1 hour wait for the food after we ordered. The L.I.T drink was really good. Sweet but strong. The waiter was nice enough to bring us some cornbread muffins after we were waiting 45 minutes for our food. I got the veggie plate: mac n cheese, sautéed spinach, sweet potato soufflé, and green beans. Only thing that was hot was the Mac n cheese. All other sides were warm at best.
Taste of the food was good, besides the sweet potatoes. Order the bananas foster pudding. It came out in less than 5 minutes of ordering. Very rich in flavor.
This is my first time at this location, second time visiting an OLG restaurant. Not super excited to come back to this location. -

Okay, I really wanted to like this restaurant because of the fame and fortune that surrounds it but the service was just so bad, it was unforgivable. It took nearly 15 minutes for someone to make contact with our table. No greeting, no offers for water, nothing. They said there'd been a shift change, hence the confusion, which I would be more understanding of if it wasn't such a small restaurant. Their only saving grace was the fried deviled eggs. Nothing special, but they were tasty, so no complaints (hence the one additional star).
After we finished eating, it took 30+ minutes to receive our check, which is inexcusable. It was like our waiter was just there to take our order and bring us food as those were the only two times he came by the table. If that's the case, they should just have counter service. Even after we said we were in a bit of a rush to get somewhere, there was no sense of urgency. He cleared our table of plates and dishes but still didn't take our bill. He passed by the table several more times without taking our payment that we eventually had to stand up and forcefully give him our money. I was genuinely shocked and mortified--I've NEVER had to do something like that, but it was impossible to get his attention otherwise. Then he took another 10 minutes trying to find us change. I am typically a very gracious, patient diner but being at a restaurant for one hour when you've only had 2 waters and an appetizer is ridiculous. I'm sure others would have just walked out. -

Small location in a very crowded shopping plaza. The A/C wasn't working when I went, but it wasn't overbearingly hot inside.
When we first arrived, we were told that it was an hour wait for a table for 3 at 6 pm on a Saturday. We decided to wait and we truly waited for the entire hour and some change. They called us when our table was ready.
They have a relatively small menu, but I decided to order the fried chicken and waffles. My friends and I also ordered the Fried Deviled Eggs and Rib Tips as appetizers. The fried deviled eggs were surprisingly good, but would have been even better if they were served hot. They tasted like they had been sitting for minute before they were brought to our table. The same as the rib tips; they were delicious but cold. Our appetizers were brought to our table quickly so it made us wonder if they were just sitting out?
For the entrees, the fried chicken came out STEAMING hot, but the waffles were not. My friends had the same issue with their food. We were just confused with the inconsistency of the temperatures of our food. This was our main issue with the location. Service was great, but we didn't like that our food wasn't served hot.
We may or may not return. We shall see. -

Okay so the 1st time we came a few months ago, the power was out. Finally made it in on a Tuesday, no wait and a very nice crowd. I really like the ambiance even though it's a very small space. Despite other poor reviews regarding the service, our waitress Oya was great! She was prompt, personable and efficient. We both had Fried Chicken Dinners w/ French Toast and Fried Deviled Eggs as appetizers. The fried chicken was a little spicey and very crispy, but very good. My sides were mac-n-cheese and the sweet potatoe souffle. The mac-n-cheese was great-cheesy and seasoned well. The sweet potatoe souffle was a totally different story.... I've never seen yams or sweet potatoes that color, so that was off-putting and then it was chunky and cold. It did not taste good at all, so I sent it back and I never send things back. Anyway, I opted for French toast after that, because I was still craving something sweet and I absolutely loved the French toast. Made perfectly I would come there for that alone..... they were fluffy and crispy with the right amount of powdered sugar and 2 different sauces to choose from. The deviled eggs were deep fried and had a kick to them.....a little different, but I liked them! I enjoyed my food, the ambiance and especially my company. A great place to meet for lunch, dinner or just hang! We will definitely be back!
